The liquidation and auctioneer company which bought the majority of Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) assets are now putting them up for sale.
Hilco Industrial is advertising on its website the first in a series of online auctions.
A number of vehicles, as well mechanical and office equipment, will be up for grabs in a live web auction on Feb. 1, 2018, at 10 a.m.
The government announced in December that it had sold the majority of the assets to Hilco which would then likely sell off the individual assets.
At the time, STC Minister Joe Hargrave insisted the government wasn’t in the business of selling off buses and it was a better value to sell to Hilco.
It still isn’t clear who bought the STC depots in Prince Albert and Moose Jaw.
STC was shut down in the provincial budget last March.
