Two people are facing charges after allegedly being found in a stolen car with drugs on Sunday morning.
Police said they pulled the car over on the 600 block of McTavish Street because the plates were expired. Officers soon discovered the vehicle had been recently been reported stolen, so the man and woman inside were arrested.
Police say they found a loaded black CO2 pellet handgun, and about eight grams of crystal meth in the car.
Both Jason Sparvier, 33, and Mercedes Kitz, 25, are facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon, and possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking.
Sparvier is also being charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and breach of undertaking.
The two made their first court appearances on these charges Tuesday morning.
