Over 3,000 stuffed animals were tossed onto the ice.
A dog that captured hearts in Saskatoon after a tragic incident is home with his owners.
Dubbed ‘Heroic Henry’ by workers at the SPCA, the pit bull was seriously injured after being dragged behind a van. In a post to the SPCA’s Facebook account, workers noted that they have since learned the dog’s real name is Axel, after his owners reclaimed him.
The SPCA was able to raise money to help Axel’s owners with his veterinary bills.
Saskatoon police are still working to determine what happened to the dog and if any charges will be laid.
