Regina police are looking for a suspect involved in an alleged stabbing on Thursday night.
Officers were called at 11:10 p.m. to a house on Elizabeth Crescent near 3rd Aveue to respond to a report of a man who had been stabbed.
Police arrived at the scene before EMS and found a 47-year-old man bleeding from a serious stab wound to his arm. One of the officers acted quickly, applying a tourniquet to the arm before EMS arrived to transport the victim to the hospital.
The attending physician credited the police officer for saving the man’s life, saying he would have likely died if it were not for the officer’s quick thinking.
Police say the suspect is described as aboriginal, about 20 to 25-years-old, he was wearing a dark hoodie, jeans, and a hat.
