Saskatoon police have identified human remains that were found earlier this month and they are working to notify the family of the woman.
According to police, DNA testing helped investigators determine who the woman was and the circumstances surrounding her death.
They received information on Nov. 10 that led them to human remains. Her body was recovered four days later after police units excavated the area.
Saskatoon police worked with the officer of the chief coroner, forensic anthropologist Ernie Walker, the RCMP Cold Case Major Crime Unit and the Corman Park Police Service, the SPS Major Crime and Missing Persons Unit.
