A barn fire that broke out Monday morning northeast of Regina has left a man with serious burns.
Neighbour Colleen Kramer Dahlstrom and her family went over to help around 7:30 a.m. after noticing smoke at a property across Zehner Road.
“The fellow had tried to get his cow out of the barn, but that didn’t work. The cow didn’t make it and now he’s got some bad burns,” she said.

Dahlstrom said flames were rising from the barn as its roof collapsed shortly after two fire trucks and an ambulance arrived on-scene.
She said she saw paramedics treating burns to the man’s face and hands after firefighters got the blaze under control.
Fire crews remained on-scene as of 10 a.m.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
