The Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) saw its highest attendance in five years in 2015.
On Friday, the CWA released its attendance numbers for the 45th edition of Agribition saying it saw 130,200 visitors over the six-day event.
There was a 25 per cent increase in the number of active international buyers, with 800 international guests from 70 different countries visiting Agribition.
The Canadian Cowboys’ Association Finals Rodeo saw a record 23,560 people over its five nights.
The trade show saw 430 exhibitors – another record. Beef cattle saw an eight per cent increase in entries and a 10 per cent increase in sale averages.
Organizers are already getting prepared for a very different Agribition in 2016 as the current venue gets torn down and replaced, and the finals rodeo gets replaced by the new Agribition Pro Rodeo.
