Two men are facing charges for threatening Crown corporation employees before the Easter long-weekend.
Police were called to an office on North McCarthy Boulevard just after 9 a.m. on Thursday. An early investigation indicated a man had called the office a number of times threatening to hurt a man who worked there. The man also reportedly threatened to harm the woman he was speaking to.
Police believe the threats were a result of the man disagreeing with the ending of a matter with the Crown corporation. Police later found the man, 22-year-old Jayden William Yakobovich, and arrested him. He will appear in court on May 15.
Later that same day, police arrested a man for leaving threatening messages on an after-hours business line at a Crown corporation.
The man had apparently been refused renewal of a government-issued document because he owed fees. The threats led to a lockdown of one office.
The man was taken into custody.
Raymond Normand Caza, 37, will appear in court on May 15.
Police didn’t indicate the incidents were related or had taken place at the same building.
