Massive drug bust lands 3 people with more than 100 charges

A massive drug bust in Saskatoon has three people in handcuffs facing more than 100 charges.

At 10 p.m. on Dec. 16, Saskatoon police received reports of possible criminal activity happening in a home in the 900 block of Avenue K South. Two men and a woman were detained while officers searched the home.

Inside police found a large amount of illegal drugs including 147 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 213 grams of cocaine, 407 grams of marijuana, 2,500 milligrams of the tranquilizer-drug Diazepam, 13,500 milligrams of codeine and 6,700 milligrams of Demerol. Police also seized weapons including two sawed-off shotguns, a .44-calibre revolver, a .22-calibre handgun, bear spray, bats and ammunition.

The two men, ages 19 and 25, and the woman, age 27, are facing a total of 119 charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession, production of a substance, possession of the proceeds of crime, breach of court orders, as well as weapons and gun charges. 

They are all expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Friday.
