You can take it easy after all at the Eagles concert this Thursday in Regina.
In a “know before you go” social media post last Friday from Evraz Place, concert goers were asked to “remain seated” at the concert nor take photographs.
But in a news release Monday, the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) and the Mastercard Memorial Cup Host Committee clarified they want fans at the upcoming Eagles concert “to have the most enjoyable time.”
But REAL reminded guests that while they are free to stand up and enjoy a memorable experience they should be considerate of those around them.
The news release also stated that cell phone photos are permitted, but filming or flash photography is not allowed.
“We’re expecting a large crowd at the concert, and we want to ensure everyone has a positive experience from start to finish,” said Tim Reid, President and CEO of REAL. “We’re thrilled to have an opportunity to host this legendary band in Mosaic Stadium, and in conjunction with a spectacular Opening Ceremonies for the 100th Mastercard Memorial Cup, this will be a night for the ages.”
The Opening Ceremony for the Mastercard Memorial Cup begins at 7pm, followed by entertainment, including comedian Brent Butt, and then the headlining act, the Eagles.
“The 100th anniversary of the Mastercard Memorial Cup, coinciding with the centennial of our own Regina Pats, is something that will never happen again and we’re proud to sponsor an anniversary party on an epic scale,” said Shaun Semple, Chair of Regina’s Host Committee. “We want to encourage people to come out and have a great time, like they would at any outdoor concert.”
Some tickets are still available for the Eagles concert and Memorial Cup.
