Twitter was buzzing with teams and reporters around the CFL getting set for rookie camps in the CFL.
We saw positional charts from the Bombers and the Stampeders as we are into football season with training camps opening this weekend.
So what is the biggest thing for the Riders address at training camp? Left tackle. The blind side. Thanks to Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw starring in the movie, you may know a little more about that position and how important it is.
Head Coach Chris Jones says they have three players vying for that spot, none of them with much CFL experience.
But really. That’s it. There aren’t a lot of pressing issues for the team unless of course, you don’t think Zach Collaros and Brandon Bridge can lead the team behind whoever that left tackle is.
Receiver, running backs, defensive line, linebackers and secondary have veteran presence with no alarm bells sounding off.
That doesn’t mean camp won’t be competitive. You’ll have veterans battling veterans for starting jobs and good players will get cut.
But overall, Chris Jones should be comfortable going into camp on Sunday.
