Regina police have laid murder charges in the death of a man in north central early Wednesday morning.
Brent Stacey Creely, 26, is facing second-degree murder charges in the death of 35-year-old Shawn Robert Coghill, who was found in a house on Retallack Street between 4th and 5th Avenue.
Regina police officers were called to the house shortly after 1 a.m. where they found Coghill dead at the scene.
An investigation by the coroner confirmed Coghill was killed and led to two men being arrested and charged.
This is the fourth murder recorded in Regina in 2018.
Richard William Snyder, 33, was the second person arrested. He’s facing charges for possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
Creely is also facing a charge for possessing a firearm against a court order.
Both suspects appeared in provincial court at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
