While the Motif Multicultural Festival has become a summer tradition in Moose Jaw, the event won’t be taking place in 2018.
Moose Jaw Multicultural Festival Inc. announced Monday via the Motif festival’s Facebook page that it would not be putting on the 44th edition of the event, which was to be held July 13-15.
The release indicates the decision to cancel the event “was not taken lightly” and that it was decided running the event this year “would not be economically and administratively feasible.”
The release indicated the goal is to always have the festival live up to the high standards expected by the people who attend.
The group is working towards ensuring the 2019 festival “is even more spectacular” and will be held next July.
