People in southern Saskatchewan have one more option to escape winter with a new weekly direct flight from Regina to the Bahamas.
Regina International Airport is announcing the new vacation destination offered through Sunwing Airlines starting on Feb. 19. The vacation airline is launching once a week non-stop flights from Regina to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.
The flights will depart and return on Fridays.
The addition of this new direct flight will bring the number of international sun destinations from Regina to 12 including a number of destinations in Mexico, as well as Jamaica, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
It is one more way to head south from our Saskatchewan winter, even if the weather this year has hardly felt like winter at all.
