Regina Co-op is confirming that late Thursday evening a small fire broke out at the Co-op Refinery in Regina.
At around 9:15 p.m. a huge plume of black smoke coming from the facility could be seen across the city.
The small fire was found in Section Four of the refinery.
The refinery’s firefighters could be seen battling the flames.
By 9:30 p.m. the blaze was out and the hoses shut off. By 10 p.m. operations resumed.
All employees were accounted for and no one was hurt.
Co-op said in a release that an investigation is now underway into what caused the fire.
