Riders rent reduction a 'contractual matter', no legal threat: Reynolds

The $1.33M rent reduction comes from what the club owed during seasons impacted by the pandemic.
While supporting a friend at traffic court yesterday, I overheard two police officers talking about the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.
As traffic cops they were wondering, aloud, how fast the bus was going April 6 when it collided with the semi-trailer. They wondered why the semi-trailer was in the intersection before the collision. And they wondered what might happen to the semi-trailer driver who was charged with dangerous driving in the deaths or injuries of 29 people on the bus. They also noted the charged driver had to surrender his Canadian passport after being granted bail.
The trial was put over until August 21. A lawsuit has also been filed against the driver, his company and the bus manufacturer.
The RCMP has not been very forthcoming with details and it’s frustrating to civilians and fellow police officers. But many questions should be answered as the trial progresses. Justice might follow. And nothing will ever change what happened.
