What’s open, what’s closed this holiday Monday

With the August long weekend upon us, there are a few things to keep in mind when hanging out in Regina.

All civic offices are closed today while garbage collection and recycling will be picked up as usual.

The landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents looking to take the bus around the city can still do so. Regina Transit will be using the Sunday route schedule and Paratransit will be operating today between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The offices for Riverside Memorial Park and Regina Cemeteries will be closed today, but gates will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The city’s outdoor pools will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the exception of the Wascana Pool, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The pool at the Lawson Aquatic Centre will be closed for annual maintenance but the strength and conditioning area will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The North West Leisure Centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Regina Sportsplex will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of Regina will be closed.
