Suspected arrested after south Regina business robberies

Regina police have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with two robberies in the city’s south end Sunday night.

The first happened in the 4100 block of Albert Street around 6 p.m.

According to police, a man walked into the business with a knife and demanded cash. He was able to obtain an unknown amount before fleeing on foot.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set Caucasian man between 30 to 35 years old. He was wearing a black and beige baseball hat, green t-shirt, beige khaki shorts and black flip flops.

A few hours later, around 10:45 p.m., police were called to another business robbery in the 3800 block of Albert Street.

The suspect walked in and claimed he had a weapon. He demanded money and was able to get an unknown amount before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

As of Tuesday morning, police said the investigation led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Regina man who is charged with two counts of robbery and breach of probation.
