A man from Quebec faces several fraud-related charges after suspicious activity was reported by an Airbnb host in Regina.
Police said the host was cleaning after the guest using the home-sharing app left the property on August 2. That’s when they found pieces of identification with the same photo but different names and addresses. The investigation has led police to believe it involved victims from across Canada.
While waiting for officers to arrive, the suspect tried to gain access to the property.
A 31-year-old man from Kirkland, Quebec was arrested and faces charges including five counts of identity theft, identity fraud and possession of forged documents.
