So yesterday I wrote and recorded a commentary about my unwillingness to participate in NFL fantasy drafts and pick-em pools.
Then my cohort, Jamie Nye, announced the return of Green Zone Pigskin Pick ‘Em — a contest to pick weekly winners with a grand prize of attending a 2019 NFL game.
Bad timing, or what?
I’m allowed to discuss almost anything in this commentary, but even I’m smart enough to realize that besmirching such NFL pools wasn’t a good idea.
I should instead be promoting our radio station’s contests, telling our listeners and readers that Pigskin Pick ‘Em will be lots of fun, with all the corresponding smack talk and challenges that will keep sports fans interested until the NFL season ends in February.
I would absolutely love to go online to ckom.com or cjme.com and enter Pigskin Pick ‘Em.
However, I have been told — in no uncertain terms — that I cannot participate in any of our radio station’s contests.
So I will have to pass and leave the contest to other pool fans. Except Jamie Nye.
