Court matters are now resolved for a 15-year veteran RCMP Officer of the Assiniboia detachment.
Sgt. Donald Duplissea was in front of a Judge on Wednesday in Moose Jaw Provincial Court facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and impaired operation over .08, after an incident at Wood Mountain Provincial Park.
It was back on July 22nd when RCMP responded to a call and upon arrival, the male subject had left the scene. After planning and conducting a traffic stop to catch the suspect, they were able to lay charges against Duplissea who was off-duty at the time of the incident. Following the charges, he was placed on administrative duties.
Duplissea plead guilty and the Judge ordered him to pay a $1,000 dollar fine, along with a fine surcharge for $300 and he is not be authorized to operate a motor vehicle for a year.
