Regina police are looking for suspects after a string of bear spray attacks in North Central Wednesday night.
The first happened at 3:40 p.m. when a woman reported being sprayed in the face with bear mace while walking home on the 1500 block of Garnet Street near Dewdney Avenue. She was treated by EMS but did not have serious injuries.
Several hours later at 7:10 p.m. a man reportedly got involved in a dispute with a pedestrian while he was driving along the 1400 block of Robinson Street by Eighth Avenue. The man who was walking allegedly pulled out a can of bear mace and sprayed the driver in the face. The driver was able to park his car safely and did not suffer serious injuries. When police officers arrived they were unable to find the suspect.
Police responded to a third bear spray attack in a park on the 1200 block of Athol Street by Sixth Avenue just before midnight. Two male victims reported being sprayed in the face by a group of suspects who then ran away.
Police don’t know at this point if any of these three attacks are related but they are asking anyone with information to come forward by contacting RPS at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
