Hotel near Regina's Pasqua Hospital now open

The newest hotel on the Regina scene is now officially open.

The Residence Inn Marriott is located on Pasqua Street, between the Pasqua Hospital and Lewvan Drive.

General manager Laura Armitage says among other customers, she believes the new facility will be a great fit for family members receiving treatment at the Pasqua or at the cancer clinic.  Every suite, she says, has a full kitchen.  

“If they wish they can cook their own meals,” she said. “We have a grocery shopping service so they can give us their list in the morning and we can go grocery shopping for them.”

With the Lewvan so close, Armitage says they also have easy access in all directions for travellers. The new hotel is three and a half kilometres to the airport, and about five minutes to downtown.

Then there is that new Mosaic Stadium opening next year.    

“We are going to have the new stadium almost in our back yard.” she said “It will be easy walking distance for all those Rider fans.”   

They are not far from the old Mosaic Stadium this year either.

The 147-suite Residence Inn also has an indoor pool and water slide.
