The Saskatchewan New Democratic Party announced a shuffle of critic responsibilities Tuesday, following its recent win in the Regina Northeast byelection.
The NDP’s latest addition, Yens Pedersen, will take over role of critic for agriculture, environment and the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation.
Danielle Chartier is moving to mental health and addictions critic, while Vicki Mowat takes over as health critic.
Professional social worker Nicole Rancourt will serve as the new critic of social services.
Trent Wotherspoon will become finance critic.
Carla Beck will remain in her role as critic of education, in addition to reviewing advanced education.
Cathy Sproule will also continue critically overseeing the Global Transportation Hub and Regina Bypass.
“With a strong and united team of MLAs, we are committed to continuing to earn the trust of Saskatchewan people as we move towards forming government in 2020,” NDP Leader Ryan Meili said in a news release Tuesday.
“That work starts with standing up to the bad choices of the Sask. Party while clearly articulating our own vision, highlighting our new ideas and sharing our plans to deliver on them.”
