Police are looking for two suspects after people tried to steal an ATM from the Conexus Arts Centre.
Police said around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Lakeshore Drive for a report of a theft in progress.
A woman and man gained access to the theatre complex and tried to steal an ATM by tying a long chain attached to a vehicle around the machine.
The suspects tried to drive the vehicle, pulling on the chain and caused damage to the building and to the ATM, but were unable to dislodge the machine.
When it didn’t work they drove away, leaving the chain behind and ATM behind.
According to police, the man appeared 40-50 years old, around six feet tall with a light complexion.
He was wearing black boots, black pants and a black winter jacket with blue inside the hood.
The woman is described as being around 25-30 years in age, dark complexion with long dark hair. Police said she was wearing a grey toque, orange hooded winter jacket, light blue jeans and dark runners with white soles.
There is no vehicle description at this time.
