One person is dead after a vehicle was found in a bush on an isolated rural property near Bangor, Sask.
Around 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon, Esterhazy RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle in a bush near Bangor — about 45 kilometres southeast of Melville.
The preliminary investigation determined a single vehicle travelling on a remote gravel road appeared to have gone through a T-intersection and into dense bush and was not immediately visible from the road.
The SUV had significant damage done and a lone, deceased individual was located near the vehicle.
RCMP said at this time the identity and gender of the person has yet to be determined. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
The investigation is ongoing and police have said there is nothing to indicate the death is suspicious in nature.
Police said updates will be provided as they become available.
