980 CJME has learned two teens escaped from the Paul Dojack Youth Centre in Regina on the weekend.
They were housed in the secure unit of the detention facility.
The Regina Police Service was notified immediately and one of the teens was caught by unit staff shortly after.
The other teen was apprehended by police Monday just as the Ministry of Corrections and Policing was in the process of seeking a court order to publicly identify the teen.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, an offender cannot be named or identifying details revealed without the court’s permission.
