Egland scores Teddy Bear Toss goal but Pats lose in OT

My November trips to Edmonton used to be via airplane, usually on the same flight as the Saskatchewan Roughriders, as they headed to Commonwealth Stadium for a CFL playoff game against the Eskimos.
Depending on the weekend, I would head to Northlands Coliseum to watch the Canadian Finals Rodeo or an NHL game. The cowboys would sometimes get battered by the bulls. The Oilers would usually win. And once in a blue moon, the Roughriders would beat the Eskimos.
I’m driving to Edmonton this time. There’s no rodeo. The Oilers and the Eskimos suck. Northlands Coliseum has been replaced by Rogers Place.
It’s Grey Cup Week. Although the Roughriders aren’t going, they played the last time the game was at Commonwealth Stadium, losing in 2010 to the Montreal Alouettes. Saskatchewan head coach Chris Jones and receiver Jordan Williams-Lambert will be at the CFL Awards. There will be lots of Rider fans at the party. And the Calgary Stampeders will beat the Ottawa Redblacks.
