A grass fire sending black smoke into the skies south of Saskatoon has triggered a fire ban for the RM of Corman Park.
According the the municipality’s website, “the dry season has made for prime weather for grass fires to get out of control”.
The ban includes any controlled burns.
There have been several grass fires around the city in the past week, including four on Tuesday.
According to fire officials because of a dry winter, they are preparing for a bad grass fire season.
