RCMP are connecting another fire in rural Saskatchewan to three other arsons earlier this month.
The latest fire happened around 1:30 Friday afternoon in the R.M. of Mount Hope, north of Regina in the Raymore area. According to police, a vacant house and an outbuilding in a farm yard were reported burning. The Emerald Fire Department responded, and while the outbuilding was destroyed, the house and nearby structures were saved.
RCMP are calling the fire suspicious, and said arson is suspected.
This is similar to three other arsons which happened north of Regina. As a result, the Punnichy RCMP are asking people to report suspicious people or vehicle they see around vacant rural yards that have standing buildings. People who own similar yards are being encouraged to check their properties regularly.
