A thick blanket of fog was covering a wide stretch of west, central and southern Saskatchewan Thursday morning. Environment Canada issued fog advisories for Lloydminster, North Battleford, Kindersley, Outlook, Swift Current and Moose Jaw.
The weather agency warned drivers to expect near zero visibility conditions, particularly on the highways in those areas.
While Regina was not part of the initial advisory, the fog was still affecting visibility.

The hazy conditions were expected to clear up later in the afternoon.
Freezing rain in southern Saskatchewan caused multiple crashes Wednesday, with many reports of semis in ditches along highways. Inside Regina city limits, police dealt with 50 crashes throughout the day, fortunately, only seven had reports of minor injuries.
