It was a busy night for Saskatoon firefighters as two blazes that started in back alleys threatened to burn nearby property.
For two and a half hours Wednesday, firefighters responded to flames in the alleys of the 2400 block of Broadway Avenue and the 2500 block of William Avenue.
The Saskatoon Fire Department said engines were split up in order to attack both blazes at the same time.
While flames quickly spread to nearby fences and a detached garage, crews were able to bring the fires under control within minutes of arriving.
Fire investigators were on scene to determine damages and the cause, which is considered suspicious at this time.
There were no injuries in either fire.
