Police across the country are now looking for the man accused in the shooting at The Pump Roadhouse two weeks ago.
The Regina Police Service (RPS) has put out a Canada-wide warrant for Omar Abdi Hakim Haji-Hussein. The 30-year-old is facing two charges of attempted murder in the shooting at the nightclub on the early morning of April 29.
Two people were hurt in the shooting at 1 a.m. on Friday April 29. One was released from the hospital within a day.
Last week, police indicated that they believe the suspect knew one of the victims. This is the first time RPS has identified a specific suspect in the case.
Haji-Hussein is described as 6’2″ tall, about 250 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Police are not releasing a photo of him at this time, but the police news release described him as “non-Caucasian” and brown-skinned.
Police said Haji-Hussein may also go by the name Abdi Hakim Omar, or just “Z”.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
