A homicide investigation is underway in Weyburn after an 18-year-old man died following a home invasion on Friday night.
Around 9 p.m., police were called to the incident, which involved guns, in the 300 block of Fourth Street Northeast.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they learned two men were admitted to the Weyburn General Hospital with injuries related to the call.
Early Saturday morning, police were informed that one of the injured men, an 18-year-old, had died of his injuries.
Weyburn police are not releasing the victim’s name as they’re still notifying his next of kin.
Police have arrested two 23-year-old men in connection to the home invasion.
As forensic investigators continue to investigate the scene on Saturday, the 300 block of Fourth Street Northeast will be closed between Bison and Prairie Avenues. Weyburn police are asking drivers to find alternate routes.
