Some people might be left feeling that something bad will happen on Friday the 13th, but the host of Paranormal on News Talk Radio suspects the fear is mostly just human nature at work.
“We need something to blame,” he told the CJME Morning Show, “to explain the bad things that happen in the world.”
However, he says the statistics for bad things on Friday the 13th tell a different story.
“The number of calls that police and fire personnel get on Friday the 13th actually goes down because people are actually more cautious. There are people who drive a little bit safer, maybe take less risks on Friday the 13th.”
“They are less inclined to some of this risky behaviors they might do on other days because something bad may happen,” Richards added.
