Last year, the city made a number of changes to its transit system.
It replaced six paratransit and 13 conventional buses, along with bus shelters. Accessibility improvements were also made to shelters and buses.
A new Arcola Express route was also introduced, in addition to expanding the services areas around Harbour Landing and Fairways West.
According to the city, Regina Transit saw ridership jump four per cent in 2018 as well.
This comes after a two-year investment of $17.2 million to improve the city’s transit system, which is 50 per cent paid for by the federal government’s Public Transit Infrastructure Fund.
