Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall has said before he’s not interested in running federally, but that’s not stopping the chatter.
As the Conservative party’s convention in Vancouver is about to get underway, a Draft Brad Wall campaign has started.
A group calling itself Concerned Middle-Class Canadians has written a letter urging party members to encourage Wall to join the leadership race.
According to the Huffington Post, the letter states Wall is the best choice to defeat the Liberals.
The premier has said he’s not interested, but the group insist he needs to be nudged.
In April, Wall was elected to his third-consecutive term as premier, with the Sask. Party earning another majority in the legislature with more than 60 per cent of the popular vote.
Confirmed candidates for the Conservative leadership include Kellie Leitch, Michael Chong and Maxime Bernier.
The Tory convention kicks off Thursday night with a speech by former prime minister Stephen Harper.
