Regina police have charged five teens and an adult with breaching court orders after being called early Sunday morning with reports of a gun or guns seen at a large gathering inside a home in Washington Park.
Officers arrived at the house on the 900 block of Retallack Street around 4 a.m. They then called for a SWAT team, a canine unit and a crisis negotiation team.
Eventually, two 14-year-old boys, three 16-year-old boys and a 21-year-old woman left the home without incident. After interviewing the suspects, police determined they were facing outstanding warrants or had allegedly breached court-ordered conditions.
All six people were arrested, however, no gun was recovered.
The teens can’t be named because of provisions in the youth criminal justice act.
The 21-year-old woman appeared Monday morning in Regina provincial court.
