The City of Regina is confirming two more cases of Dutch elm disease on the city’s south end.
One of the city owned trees was located in the 100 block of Lincoln Drive Tuesday morning and has since been removed to help stop the spread of the disease. The second tree was located on Knowles Crescent and will be removed and destroyed on Wednesday.
Dutch elm was first found on the city’s north west side on Wells Street on July 4.
Since 1981, Regina has lost 97 trees to the disease
All elm trees are under a pruning ban until Aug 31.
