Regina police have laid new charges in connection to the city’s first murder of 2014.
Officers were called to a home on Garnet Street on March 1, 2014 for a man who was hurt – or possibly dead. That’s when the body of 41-year-old Marvin Bruce Sefton was found.
Initially, a 28-year-old woman had been charged with Sefton’s murder, but those charges were eventually stayed in court.
On Thursday, the Regina Police Service announced that 41-year-old Christopher Guy MacGregor has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. He made his first court appearance Thursday morning.
