Red solo cups and trash don’t belong on the beach.
That’s the message a good Samaritan is trying to get out to people who use it.
Last Monday, Felipe Keeler picked up three bags of garbage at Paradise Beach, known locally as “Bare Ass Beach.”
“I was astonished by the amount of trash,” he said. “It was literally disgusting.”
The viral Facebook post featuring a video of Keeler has already garnered more than 100,000 views.
In the post, Keeler said the message is not just for Saskatoon people, but for people all around the world to take note.
“I’m tired of people disrespecting nature,” said Keeler. “If I didn’t clean it up, I don’t think anybody would’ve.”
Paradise Beach is located about 20 kilometres south of Saskatoon.
Those caught making a mess could face a $200 fine.
