Regina police are warning the public about a possible attempted abduction while asking the public for help to solve the case.
Police say it happened Sunday between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., while two boys, aged nine and 11, were playing near a cluster of trees by the railway tracks just southeast of 1st Avenue North.
They returned home, telling their mother that a man grabbed one of the boys around the waist and tried to pull him away. When the boy resisted and started shouting, the man let go and ran away. No one was hurt.
The suspect is described as an Indigenous man with a crinkled face. The boys said the man was wearing a red spring jacket, black jogging pants and a black baseball hat.
After several days of investigating, police said they have not yet been able to identify a suspect or make any arrests.
