Saskatchewan Roughriders centre Dan Clark remained in hospital Wednesday, one day after suffering injuries in a single-vehicle accident.
The CFL’s Roughriders said in a text message Wednesday that Clark was alert and in good spirits in hospital. The text didn’t include any further details about his condition.
Clark was driving to Regina on Tuesday afternoon after speaking to kids at a school in Cudworth, about three hours northwest of Regina. He was taken to hospital for assessment following the crash.
The 30-year-old Regina product is one of the Roughriders’ more active players in the community. He’s a regular participant in the Imagine No Bullying campaign put on by the Red Cross.
News of Clark’s accident spread around the CFL, with many taking to Twitter to offer him best wishes.
