Council retroactively slashed $1.33 million in rent owed by the Roughriders.
News Talk Radio is being recognized on the national stage, after winning two awards at the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) awards ceremony.
Our team won the Breaking News award for best radio coverage of breaking news on Saturday during the RTDNA national conference in Toronto.
Other finalists included 680 News in Toronto, Vancouver’s 980 CKNW and CBC North.
650 CKOM was also recognized for Best Radio Newscast (medium market). Also nominated in the category were 570 News Kitchener, CBC Kamloops and News 95.7 in Halifax.
Last year, 980 CJME won the national award for best newscast.
Between our two stations, this is the fourth time in the last five years News Talk Radio has been honoured as the best radio newscast in the country.
