The Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with a serious hit and run.
According to the RCMP, the incident occurred on April 26 at 1 a.m., outside a home on the Pasqua First Nation. A 51-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and the driver of the vehicle left the scene before police arrived.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by STARS to a Regina hospital. After being treated, he has been released.
The RCMP is looking for 18-year-old Paul Keepness of the Pasqua First Nation. He’s facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
Keepness is described as being 5-foot-8 and approximately 130 pounds. He is known to frequent the Pasqua and Muscowpetung First Nations as well as Regina.
