Saskatoon police are looking for three suspects who threatened two teens before stealing their bicycles Tuesday evening.
The robbery took place around 9:04 p.m. in the 3500 block of John A MacDonald Road.
Police said the trio of suspects approached the youth and took their bikes. One suspect threatened the victims by showing them an axe.
Two suspects rode off on the stolen goods, while the third suspect left on foot. They were last seen in the area of the park between Confederation Park School and Bishop Roborecki School.
The bicycles are described as an all-black GT BMX and a red GT BMX.
Police describe the suspects as follows:
- A 17-year-old boy, Indigenous in appearance, wearing a black ball cap and black hoodie or jacket, carrying an axe in his pants. Left on the stolen black GT BMX.
- A 17-year-old boy, Indigenous in appearance, wearing a ball cap with a grey/white hoody. Left on the stolen red GT BMX bike.
- A boy between 15-17 years old, white in appearance, wearing a green ball cap, white T-shirt and black pants. Left on foot.
A canine track was unsuccessful in locating the suspects.
