The Regina Police Service is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in the city early Friday.
According to a media release, officers were sent to the 2300 block of Albert Street at approximately 6:15 a.m., for the report of a robbery.
They were told a man carrying a gun and an axe and wearing a black bandanna to cover his face entered the station, threatened an employee and demanded money. After getting some cash, the suspect hopped on a bicycle and headed north on Albert Street.
Officers searched the area, but couldn’t find the suspect.
The man is described as 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing sunglasses, gloves, dark pants, a dark shirt and a hoodie at the time of the robbery.
