OK, I’m an idiot. I’ve been called worse, sometimes by Saskatchewan Roughriders fans who disagree with my opinions. Those fans would be correct this time, because I neglected to check the Roughriders’ CFL schedule before I bought tickets for the Garth Brooks concert on Aug. 9.
I spent two hours online, waiting to get access to buy two tickets, way up high in Mosaic Stadium. I spent $194 and got the confirmation email before one of my Twitter buddies asked if I was going to watch streaming video of the Roughriders visiting the Montreal Alouettes on the same night. What? I thought the Roughriders were on a bye week. What an idiot!
For every Roughriders game, home and away, Jamie Nye, Warren Woods, Belton Johnson and I have Green Zone pre-game and post-game radio shows on CJME and CKOM. It’s entertaining and it’s great fun. So I’m already booked for Aug. 9.
I now have two Garth tickets for sale. Or I’ll trade them for two tickets to Garth’s other concert, Aug. 10. The Roughriders don’t play on the 10th. I checked.
