RCMP in northern Saskatchewan are asking for help in locating an inmate who escaped a “non-secure” correctional facility vehicle Friday afternoon.
According to a news release issued Saturday night, Mounties were notified of Grant Kenneth McKenzie’s escape around 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
The 30-year-old was last seen in the area of Brown Street and La Ronge Avenue in La Ronge.
McKenzie is described at 5-foot-8 with short brown hair and brown eyes. Police describe him as being roughly 190 pounds with an “average build.”
He also has numerous tattoos, including: a skull on the top of his head, the word “kaidence” on the right side of his neck, a cross on his upper left arm and a cannabis leaf on his right arm.
Anyone with information regarding McKenzie’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment.
