The disappearance of a 22-year-old Regina woman has been deemed suspicious by the Regina Police Service.
Jenaya Mary Wapemoose hasn’t been heard from since March 27 and was reported missing to the police on May 7. In a media release Thursday, the police said the case now “is considered suspicious, based on the evidence gathered in the extensive investigation of her disappearance.”
Wapemoose’s family and friends staged a search for her in Regina on May 18.
Wapemoose is described as Indigenous, 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds with a thin build, shoulder-length light brown, wavy hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of stars on her neck.
